Oh, the Magic of Words...

Known by many titles over the years, my novel: Arden & The Solar Heir  started off as a pet project of mine while I was in High School. Inspired by themes from Star Trek and Lord of the Rings, Arden follows a young alien boy as he discovers who he is meant to be, in the midst of a galaxy that struggles to accept him.

First Published to Amazon in 2021 as "Arden: The Lost and Forgotten," this novel acted as my first attempt at self-publishing. Fully designed, edited and written by me, it remained on Amazon for a year before the decision was made to remove it from public access. This is partially due to finding printing errors in the manuscript, however the more personal reason was simply, I no longer liked the story I had written. 

 

I'm sure we have all experienced a similar phenomenon. Our personal projects grow with us over time, and with that the characters, plot, themes, and our writing skill grow with us. As artists, there is a deep sense of connection to our work, especially those we pour our creativity into. That is why, today, despite no longer having it on Amazon, I continue to work on the story in my spare time. One day I look forward to publishing it once more!
